Making a Career at Brookdale

REBECCA SOBOLIK
Executive Director Sterling House of LaCrosse LaCrosse, WI

Since 1999, Rebecca Sobolik has worked hard and continues to make her mark at Brookdale. Rebecca started as a resident assistant at Clare Bridge Cottage of LaCrosse. After four months, she became the lead care associate. She later transferred to Sterling House of Onalaska, where she was promoted to the position of resident care coordinator, taking on the added responsibility of hiring, training and managing a team.

When the executive director position opened up, Rebecca took on the interim role and quickly proved she was able to handle this challenge and was promoted. When the executive director position opened up at Sterling House of LaCrosse, on the campus where she began her Brookdale career eight years earlier, Rebecca jumped at the opportunity.

According to Stephanie Johnson, Health and Wellness Director "Rebecca is a wonderful lady. When she returned to LaCrosse, she took on a community in need. In five months, Rebecca worked with her staff and overcame these challenges."Rebecca comments, "While there are times when I must attend to the business aspects of the community, I try hard to get involved and participate in resident and family activities every day. Families and residents recognize my involvement, along with our other associates, and that impacts our community in a positive way."
